Creamy Onion Chicken

Creamy onion chicken is a delightful dish that combines tender chicken with onion-infused cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

How to prepare

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in dried thyme and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Return chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 8-10 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
