Roasted Chicken for Wedding Occasions

Roasted chicken is a timeless dish loved for its simplicity. Typically seasoned with herbs, garlic, and olive oil, a whole chicken is roasted until golden brown. This classic entrée pairs well with a variety of sides, making it perfect for any wedding occasion.

Ingredient

  1. Whole Chicken.
  2. Olive Oil.
  3. Salt and Pepper.
  4. Garlic.
  5. Herbs.
  6. Lemon.

How to Prepare

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Rinse a whole chicken inside and out under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Season the chicken generously with salt and pepper, both inside the cavity and on the skin.
  2. Seasonings and Aromatics: Rub the chicken with a mixture of olive oil, minced garlic, and your choice of herbs like rosemary, thyme, or parsley. Optionally, stuff the cavity with lemon halves, garlic cloves, and fresh herbs for added flavor.
  3. Roasting: Place the seasoned chicken breast-side up in a roasting pan or baking dish. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh.
  4. Resting: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier bird.

Carve the roasted chicken into desired pieces and serve hot with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
